My English translation skill and image editing skill are very so-so, I hope my mere work is not ruining your reading experience so much. The scans seem to have been translated from the original Japanese to Chinese, yet, I don't know how accurate it is done, so I can only try to translate from Chinese to English. I chose to use the 2nd one for my English translation. I found two versions of scans of "Disappear Venus" - 1st one has no watermark but has bad scan quality 2nd one has watermark (just minor) and has better scan quality. I am trying to translate those ones to English. There are some scans out there, but those are not in English. According to this web site, Junji Ito sensei in 2014 contributed this one-shot to Tensaitachi no Kyouen, and no English translation is found yet. Overall, the Off-Campus series isn’t my favorite and I find the books tend to go downhill as the series go on. If someone is looking for a hockey romance book, the Off-Campus series is usually recommended. The Off-Campus series is popular in the sport romance sphere of the BookTok community. Finally, The Goal concludes with Sabrina James, who unexpectedly becomes pregnant with hockey player John Tucker’s baby. The Score follows Allie Hayes who has a rebound relationship with Dean Di Laurentis, the team’s most notorious player off the ice. The Mistake centers on Grace Ivers who has a second chance romance with John Logan after a quick encounter with the hockey player during her freshman year. The Deal focuses on Hannah Wells, who tutors Garret Graham, the hockey team captain. There is an additional novella, The Legacy, which occurs after the events of the first four novels. For my review, I will focus on the four main books in the series: The Deal, The Mistake, The Score, and The Goal. The Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy is a four-part companion series which follows four different girls as they develop relationships with four college hockey team members who live together in one house. Off-Campus was a little off from five stars for me. One thing is for sure, the smiling man is back and he wants a rematch. For transgender people there is a mismatch. Subconscious sex: Deep down your mind has a built-in sense of its own gender that is independent of socialization or genitals or a Y chromosome. How can that be? Serano says it is because of: Serano says that not just as a trained biologist, but as someone who, despite male socialization, and even a Y chromosome, still sees herself as female. Gender: is not purely a social construct or a mere matter of performance. Sexism is best understood from both angles. oppositional sexism: the idea that there are just two well-defined, opposing genders. So much so that sports, say, are seen as a more serious subject than fashion. traditional sexism: men are better than women, masculinity better than femininity. It is not just men who look down on femininity – so do many feminists. The girl being whipped is anyone who expresses femininity, not just transgender women but feminine men and even cisgender women themselves. She looks at how assumptions about gender affect how we see not just transgender people, but men and women in general, underpinning our sexism. Serano has lived in the world as male, female and in between. “Whipping Girl” (2007, 2016) by Julia Serano is the book that gave us the word “transmisogyny”. I still think about her every day of my life. I can't think of a single person who didn't love her. She carried a sort of security about with her. Hot-tempered one moment, and laughing the next. But more than that, she was warm and funny and loving. I thought of my own mother when I read these lines: "Yes, she was lovely. It was a re-read, but goodness knows almost thirty years between reads made it brand new in many ways. But, there was something very touching in the way Pilcher presented this story a truthfulness that made it special. I cried like I was 15 again, felt foolish doing it, and felt clean and empty afterward. My sentimental side is harder to access, and even when a book evokes strong feelings I do not really cry. I used to do it when I was younger, but my insides seem to have toughened as I have aged. I seldom find myself blubbering over a book anymore. I’m particular that way.” “Never say never,” he drawls, tilting up my chin with his finger. “Oh, that you won’t ever get again,” I say, my voice a soft, certain promise. His heated perusal caresses my face, sluices over my breasts and hips, and then pools at my feet.
